Woman Wanted For Kidnapping Nabbed In Connecticut

A woman wanted for kidnapping someone from Nevada and traveling across the country to Connecticut has been taken into custody, state police announced.

Shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23, Connecticut State Police troopers in New London County responded to the 400 block of Mack Road in the Town of Lebanon to locate a woman wanted by the North Las Vegas Police Department in Nevada.

Upon arrival, police said that troopers located the suspect, Jessica Ann Bisson, age 43, of the Town of Bozrah in New London County, and confirmed that she had a full active warrant for her arrest and extradition back to the state of Nevada for a first-degree kidnapping charge.

Bisson was taken into custody without incident and transported to Connecticut State Police Troop K and was charged as a fugitive from justice. She was unable to post a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Norwich Superior Court on Thursday, Feb. 24.
